Test, please. I hope this works. I accepted authorship through my own google account, so if I'm just posting I'll go through this way, and see if that shows me as the author. If I want to add something I'll go in the other way.
Sweet tea is the devil. I love it as well. I've been making it a lot this summer--everytime we have company, and then I end up drinking it all. I've been forcing myself to drink a lot of water. I got a groovy water bottle I like. You can keep track of the amount of bottles you've drank on it. It's by thermos, but it's only 20 oz.
Snack ideas:
I'm a fan of light cheese sticks. Sargento's are good. Yogurt is good, too. I love beef/turkey jerky, but you've got to love it. It's all protein and no carbs, so it's low calorie--especially if you find the turkey. I found some sticks that are 35 calories at the grocery store. I also love to snack on almonds (also found some individual, low sodium, 100 calorie packs of these). Blue Diamond makes these yummy nut crackers, that are not too bad for you, and they satisfy that munchy craving, since they actually crunch.
About the double workouts, that's pretty much my goal. I have lots of problems losing weight, so I almost have to do it this way. 3 days a week I'm lifting and running. Two days intense cardio (plus a walk), and then one day of kickboxing, yoga, or pilates (I will probably add cardio to yoga or cario, but short and light). Finally one day of MUCH needed REST. That's my plan for the first couple of weeks. This is sort of the P90x plan, but with a lot of modification. I'm doing it the way it works for me, including running and biking.
Dinner ideas. Do you like to grill? We ate pork tenderloin last night, and it's one of our favorites. I marinate it all day, but that's it. You put it on the grill on high 8 min. a side and then turn it down to med. and cook 15 min a side to finish. It turns out perfect everytime. So easy! I'm a huge fan of frozen veggies (especially since C came along, since I don't have to chop em). So we had green beans (I jazz em up w/balsamic vinegar, chick broth, liquid smoke, ham (deli meat), and garlic. Easy peasy.
For chicken--I like those tenderloins that are frozen in the big bag. I can thaw them in 30 min out on the counter and then marinate for 20 min or so, and bake in 20 min. I like to bake some sweet potato fries or something like that w/them. Good luck on cooking tonight. Let me know if you'd like other ideas. Cooking with a little guy is a huge challenge. Especially during some phases.
