Deb: Day 4-5

I've been running around like a crazy person the last few days and haven't had much of a chance to get everything done.

Thursday and Friday Boot Camp... pretty good.  Felt like I pushed myself on the endurance tests (which were different from the first time around in May).  She timed us doing 6 exercises... sprints, step-ups, push-ups, knee jacks, power jacks, and planks.  The first five exercises we counted how many we completed in the given time, the planks we wrote down how long we could hold the plank position.  It is the first time I've held the plank over a minute!  The one I have a hard time with is the knee jack (you stand in a lunge position with your arms over your head, then bring your arms down and back knee up like you are cracking a watermelon over your knee)... it tends to make my hip cramp and I have difficulty coordinating the movement.  Anyhoo... feel pretty good about my performance this week, just wish I was seeing some results in my body already.

Did NOT eat well yesterday ... went out to lunch with the VB staff and had a cheeseburger.  I came home and promptly ate a butterscotch tasty cake.  Not a good snack choice.  Then Judy (the HC) cooked us dinner last night... spaghetti, garlic bread, caesar salad, and wine.  Delicious.  But high in calories I'm sure.

Today is an off day for Boot Camp... definitely planning on giving my body a rest.  Tomorrow is an off day too and I need to do something, but not sure what yet.  Bama VB pre-season scrimmage in the afternoon, so that will eat up a chunk of the day.

We are having lunch with Tom and Cindy Ricks today... Jordan is a freshman at Alabama.  Crazy small world!
