Gina: Day 7

Food:

So much for a rest day.  I had a small breakfast (in line w/the low calorie, rest day plan).  We decided to take C out for some errands and lunch.  Scott decided he wanted Meatheads.  I had never been there.  All they do is giant burgers and hot dogs.  I went for a burger, and had a few of Scott's fries.  I checked the calorie info when we got home, and I about had a coronary.  780 calories in my burger.  So I had no choice but to workout so I could eat dinner.  For dinner we grilled brats and had steamed broccoli and baked beans.  I skipped the bun, and limited myself to a small amount of beans and only 1 brat.  Still a lot of calories, but not terrible if I hadn't had a calorie overload for lunch.

Exercise:

forced into this:  During C's nap I did Yoga X from P90X cuz I know it burns some serious calories from my last cycle.  It's hard but low impact--you still sweat like crazy.  45 minutes of it is moving yoga (tons of lunges and plank and cobra--basically a lot of pain)

Then I walked Kona for 30 minutes after dinner.  Cosmo was acting like he was in pain, so he stayed back w/Scott and Col.

Being loving and intentional:
Played one on one w/Col a lot today and had great time w/him last night outside.

Spiritual:
completely blanked last night--this is why I need to make it a habit.  I think I was successful 5/7 nights.

Cosmetic:
I did blow dry my hair today in preparation for church (which we skipped b/c C didn't seem to be in top shape to send to nursery--especially when you're a guest).

All in all I would say Week 1 was pretty successful.  I'm hoping to keep it up this coming week.  It starts to get boring, so I'm hoping to maybe eat less and not workout so much, so I don't set the bar quite so high.  We'll see what the appetite brings on. We are going to St. Louis this weekend which is always a major pitfall for eating well for me.  Scott's mom doesn't believe in moderation or fixing healthy food.  I have no willpower either.

Bad news:  I'm really hungry.  Every night I feel like this.  It's getting old!
